In this living room, a large screen is recessed into a niche in the wall. This wall was, prior to construction, littered with air ducts and returns, thermostats and light switches, and a variety of outdated plugs and phone outlets. We solved the problem by constructing a floating section of wall, tucking all the vents in its perimeter, and creating a recess in the center for media equipment. We worked with our experts to conceal and streamline the ‘smart’ technology, and since our world is moving toward wireless connectivity, what equipment that remains is tucked in a nearby closet.
