On this wall of a master bedroom suite in a downtown high rise penthouse, we placed a contemporary wood and steel cabinet between two armless chairs. The cabinet is crafted of chiseled hardwoods supported by a naturalistic sculpted steel tree branch. The chairs are upholstered with a hand dyed fabric, repeating the colors of the fitted carpet. The draperies soften the light, and tucked under them is a room darkening blackout shade with a remote control to raise or lower it. Serene and modern.
