This mid century modern home, initially designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, has been an ongoing project for many years. We recently created a cabinet wall to display our clients growing collection of studio art glass, and to divide the space in a large open room. There is a coat closet on this side, and storage for dining room essentials on the opposite side. We maintained the vocabulary of original materials here, lacquered wood, stacked stone, travertine marble and silver metal. The objects are lit with LED spots, and the niche is backed with a mirrored panel to showcase all sides of the art. Practical and dramatic.
