The hardware used evokes the tradition of the house, even though rendered in acrylic it recalls the vintage use of glass knobs. This view of the countertop display of silver and plants suggests a still life painting.

This new saddle suede finish from KraftMaid cabinets, who donated the cabinetry for the 2013 show house, won rave reviews from the visitors to the home. It has a soft sheen that really compliments the grain of the wood. Leaded glass panels in the upper cabinets are reflected in the mirrored panels that back each cabinet. The effect is subtle but exciting.
