In a corner of this living room, a magnificently carved 18th century French demilune cabinet with traces of the original gilding pairs well with this contemporary masterpiece by artist Sandro Chia. A hand blown Venetian glass bowl, flecked with gold, sits on the white marble top of the cabinet. The subtle carpet, custom woven for this room in Tibet, uses colors from the artwork. The walls are glazed with multiple layers of soft tan that compliment the wood parquet floor. The glaze extends to the custom designed crown and base moldings, enveloping the space in color. The grandly scaled upholstered chaise is covered with a Clarence House damask fabric.
