Tucked into an upholstered panel at the end of a master bedroom suite, this huge softly swathed bed invites hushed relaxation. Padding and upholstering the walls creates a layer of soundproofing important in this downtown high rise penthouse. This room is now as quiet as a sound studio. We used crisp contemporary chests with silvered lamps to add reading light to the indirect lighting we added in the raised ceiling treatment. A patterned carpet adds softness. This is truly a serene restful retreat.
