A custom stainless steel island top in this contemporary Indianapolis kitchen incorporates a state of the art cooktop and ventilation system. If you are tired of the same old granite that you see EVERYWHERE, you can explore some other fantastic materials. The kitchen is a place to use all we know about good interior design, to make it function well, to make it beautiful, to make it your own. To please this homeowner, minimalism was key. We carried the countertop material, a manmade quartz, up and around the window in slab form to create a seamless expanse. We edited the materials to the essentials, wood, steel and quartz, and used an industrial synthetic on the floor. This room is clean and spare, but filled with luxe materials.
