Meridian Street Mansion

Traditional does not mean boring or fussy. This original fireplace was cleaned and polished to bring back the luster of the 1920’s.   The seating group in front of the fireplace is accented with a Dakota Jackson table. It has a silky finish of gold leaf and macassar ebony . The styistic flourishes of the contemporary echo the pared down simplicity of the important Biedermeier chairs and tables. We finished all the upholstery with black or white fabrics, which allow the forms and wood finishes of the chairs and sofas to be the stars.   ...
